Como Zoo Conservatory

On a day earlier in the week when Kevin was working I took Susan to see the Como Zoo Conservatory. Here we are in the Sunken Garden. They have 5 different themes a year. It's beautiful!

Off to Stillwater for a Riverboat Ride

The last night Susan was here we meet Eva & Andy in Stillwater and went on a Paddlewheel River Boat cruise on the St. Croix. It's a fun way to get out onto the water and see the river.

Day Trip to Duluth

Susan wanted to see Lake Superior so we took a day trip to Duluth, MN. Lake Superior is the biggest and coldest of the Great Lakes and is the largest freshwater lake by surface area, on earth. We ate a great Italian restaurant called Bellisio. After eating we walked the streets of Canal Park and shopped. It was a perfect day, right around 70 degrees. If you look in the background of the picture of Kevin & Susan walking on the street you'll see a glimpse of Duluth's Aerial Lift Bridge, one of the most popular tourist attractions in MN.

Flooding in Linton ND

This past March the town my folks live in flooded. We went home to help them gut the basement. Here are a couple of photos showing the devastation. When I was home again just last month I snapped a picture of my Mom & Dad. As you can see they are doing well and things are getting back to normal.

Grand Old Days

Earlier in the week we went to Grand Old Days in St. Paul. Here is a shot of Kevin & Susan by the one of the decorated cars on the streets.

Volleyball

After touring the Spam museum we took off to Drkula's to play a little sand volleyball. Susan got a kick out of my T-shirt. If your having trouble reading the back side in the picture above, it says "Win! Or Go Shirtless".

The Spam Museum

Today we went to Austin Minnesota to check out the Spam Museum. We stopped to take a couple of photos at the entrance. The parking lot spots had the word "SPAM" painted on them so there was no doubt about where to park.

Jez

Susan wanted to capture a picture that showed Jez playing volleyball. Kevin tosses the ball to her and she uses her nose to bump it back to him. We play around in the back yard with her alot. Uusually we play frisbee followed with some volleyball.

I went to Linton about 2 weeks ago to visit my folks. Jez loves being at their house. Here she is enjoying the afternoon on Dad's lawn. She appears to be smiling. She is such an adorable dog!

Medtronic Twin Cities Marathon Photos

The first picture above is of us at the start line. It's early so it's still dark outside. The second picture is Raymond and me at mile marker 19. We stopped to snap a photo because of the gorgeous scenery. The Twin Cities Marathon claims to be the most beautiful urban marathon in America. We crossed the finish line in 4 hours 39 minutes and 39 seconds. Below we are showing off our medals right after the race. What a great feeling!

TC Marathon - Summit Avenue

This is the midway point of the Twin Cities marathon, October 2008. We were on Summit Avenue drinking Summit Beer. The picture isn't clear because it was a cold, rainy, foggy day. Raymond, my cousin, is on the left and Robin is in the middle. Robin is a friend from work who trained with me and who is currently deployed to Iraq.
